Crema Outdoor
From a small village in 19th century Northeastern Italy, Giovanni Cristina founded the company known today as Crema Outdoor. Initially traveling by bike to repair and deliver umbrellas, and manufacturing his products on his kitchen table to sell them at the local market, Cristina quickly set up a small factory that became an atelier for what was known as one of the most necessary fashion accessories of the time: rain umbrellas. In the decades that followed, the company established and maintained itself as one of the top Italian brands specializing in the manufacturing of foldable, high-quality rain umbrellas.
Driven by an increase in tourism through-out Europe in the 1970s, Crema Outdoor started producing beach umbrellas using new technologies, notably producing large umbrellas with frames made of wood and aluminum. Two decades later, fifth-generation family members Lorenzo and Alessandro Crema joined the business with the purpose of relaunching Crema Outdoor as it is today: with a focus of producing beach umbrellas and outdoor furniture for the hospitality sector. Since then, Crema Outdoor has experienced exponential growth that carries on the founding principles of high quality, customization, and unique Italian design.
Now operating all aspects of their operations in Montagnana, Italy, in one facility, Crema Outdoor continues to carry on the family artisanal legacy with passion and an innovative spirit, creating simple and timeless designs.
